Hello lovely jazz fans!
And so we reach the last month of another highly successful Splash Point Jazz year. Where did 2023 go to so soon, without much more than a sniff of summer, not to mention a completely sodden Autumn!
Looking back, we can see exactly where it went: in a flurry of top-notch concerts, from Elaine Delmar to Zoe Schwarz, and Xhosa Cole to Bruce Adams. It was the year of Neal’s album launch ‘The Maximalist’, and the start of his residency at the amazing London Raffles hotel in Whitehall (see above). Then there were: the Tennis Finals; another German mini-Tour; gigs at Ronnies, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and Pizza Express Dean St.
AND (drum roll…) it was the year Sue finished her PhD!!
There is much to look back on and savour from 2023, and before we get to December’s gigs let’s just indulge ourselves for a few moments in a spot of nostalgia from the last month…

A lady who lives in Bexhill would like to to attend our Eastbourne jazz club more often. Whilst the journey to The Fisherman’s is easy on the Stagecoach 99, the return journey is not possible on the East Sussex based Deadwood Stage! Are there any regular attendees who come from the Bexhill area who would be happy to transport her back to the roundabout at Little Common please?
