Hello jazz friends (or should that be fiends?)
According to Dean Martin’s 1959 hit ‘It’s June in January’, but if this weather keeps up 2024 will feel more like January in June… Hands up if you put your heating on at least once since the last SPJC newsletter? Don’t blame you… However, the Met Office assure us that temperatures are going up so maybe summer is here, just hiding behind an umbrella, a bit shy about showing itself.
Here at Splash Point Towers June means cake. No fewer than three key people have birthdays in June, so the office is littered with cake crumbs.

Neal has a new monthly residency in Covent Garden at the intimate Pizza Express Piano Lounge in St. Martin’s Lane, starting on Thursday June 20th, see details below in the diary listings. We need to show them we can fill it, folks! And best of all, it’s FREE to diners.

2. Secondly, let’s hear it for the premiere of Sue and Neal’s new show
“Ella, Louis & Oscar”
…which has tickets now on sale. They’re taking it to Germany in September but you can see it in Bexhill in July!
