SPJC Newsletter Mid-March 2020
This is the newsletter we never thought we would have to write, but it’s got to be done so here goes.
UNSURPRISING NEWS
Due to the current coronavirus Covid-19 crisis, and in line with Government recommendations, we are cancelling all our jazz gigs for the foreseeable future, in agreement with all our venues. This is not a decision any of us wanted to take, and we haven’t done it lightly, but the safety and well being of our audiences, musicians and volunteers must be our top priority.
Please keep an eye on our website (www.splashpointmusic.com) for updates, and be assured that as soon as possible we will re-instate gigs – and email you to let you know. Any musicians and bands that are cancelled will have priority bookings in 2021, so you will get to see them all, just not for a while.
SURPRISING NEWS
To cheer you up, Neal will be doing home-broadcasting of little solo gigs, snippets and crazy stuff to keep you titillated!
Details, again, will be on the website. You can also read announcements on our Instagram and Twitter and FaceBook feeds – please search/follow @splashpointjazz
(These also end up on our website). There’s also some great stuff on our YouTube channel (SplashPointMusic)
CONNECT WITH US!
It’s gonna be a lonely few months stuck indoors… so don’t let yourself get down and fearful…

If you know anyone who comes to our gigs, but doesn’t get our emailed newsletters, please pass on this news to them.
As always, we thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you again once life gets back to normal. And to paraphrase Arnie Schwarzenegger’s Terminator:
We’ll be back! And in the meantime – see you online!
Keep well. Keep an eye on elderly neighbours, friends, relatives.
Be nice to people 😃
