| Hello and welcome to February, a month which often gets a bad press largely on account of the weather but which has actually got a lot going for it. You’re wondering what that could possibly be?
Well for a start it’s short, at 28 days (but 29 this year! A bonus day!) the shortest month of the year. Lots of nice things are short… (please stop right there – Ed.)
It has Valentine’s Day mid-month – cue chocolates, flowers, dinner and a show. You could even buy some for someone else too.
The daylight is stretching out noticeably now.
The February credit card bill is nowhere near as bad as the January one was.
Snowdrops are out!
Even the most tardy of householders have taken down all their tacky Christmas lights by now.
You’ve survived January.
You’ve finally done your Tax Return (UK viewers).
And, parochially and most importantly, Splash Point Jazz have not one but TWO new venues this month.
